Basic information
VMQ Silicone material has good heat resistance and good cold flexibility. It is especially suitable for hygienic applications in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Thanks to its excellent physiological properties, silicone is a proven sealing material, especially for valve seals.
Due to the small volume changes of VMQ and due to its high elasticity, the valve operates reliably until the end of its life. VMQ is usable in applications for the production of food, beverages and products for less aggressive media. It is necessary to draw attention to the maximum levels of mechanical strength and cleaning processes.
- Wide temperature range from – 50 °c to + 180 °C (permanently 160 °C, short-term 180 °C)
- Good resistance to synthetic, animal and vegetable oil and grease, glycol, fire-resistant hydraulic fluids, diluted salt solutions
Suitable applications for VMQ
- Processing of animal and vegetable oil and grease.
- Applications with high temperature ranges.
- VMQ is suitable for use in the CIP/SIP system for continuous operation in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, with the exception of steam sterilisation.
Not compatible: VMQ shouldn´t be used in concentrated acids and alkalis, superheated water steam over 100 °C, esters and ethers, aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene)
FDA certificate of the seals on request.
